What Are We Doing? Submit a photo of you practicing a breathing exercise.

Why is this important? Deep breathing is one of the best ways to lower stress in the body. This is because when you breathe deeply, it sends a message to your brain to calm down and relax. The brain then sends this message to your body. 

Where Should We Do It? Indoors or outdoors. 

What Do We Need Just you, and a camera or phone (which has a camera). 

How Should We Set Up? Find your space to complete your exercise, and keep your phone/ camera nearby so you can snap a picture when you complete the exercise. 

How Do We Do It? 

    1. Find a space to practice your breathing exercise or do it before a game of practice. 
    2. Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 7 seconds and exhale for 8 seconds. The 4-7-8 rule. 
    3. Once you complete your breathing exercise, snap a picture of you holding your breath. 
    4. Submit your picture!
